Bump update - 28 weeks

28 weeks

How far along? 28 Weeks

Baby Bump? The growing part seems to have slowed down. I don’t feel much bigger than I have the last couple weeks. However, the doctor said that I am still measuring big so he scheduled me to get an ultrasound in a couple of weeks.

Maternity Clothes? I really need to buy some jeans or something to wear  on the weekends… I pretty much live in pajama pants outside of work hours.

Best moment this week:  I am working on a quilt for this little girl. I am hoping that I will be able to finish it up tonight.

Belly Button in or out: It's still in, but it may not me in for too much longer.

Miss anything?  Being able to get comfortable while I am sleeping.

Food cravings: Nothing new here, no crazy pregnancy cravings.

This week baby is the size of: Iceberg lettuce, almost 15 inches long and weighing around 2.2 pounds.

Happy or moody most of the time: I’m usually pretty happy.

Gender: BABY GIRL!

Symptoms: Hungry, occasional heartburn, crazy dreams, back pain if I stand for too long.

Sleep: This week hasn't been too bad in the sleep department.

Baby’s development this week: Her brain is developing, her muscles are getting more toned.

New Baby Items: The dresser came this last week (and is still sitting in our hall) and the crib should be coming sometime this coming week. The quilt I am making is getting close to being done, but isn't quite done yet.

Looking forward to: Putting the nursery together. We have most of the “pieces” that we need, now we just need to actually start setting everything up.  There is still so much I want to do before this baby comes.

Anything Else Going on: Work has been pretty slow these last few days so I have spent a lot more time thinking about this little girl and how much she is going to change our lives. We are so excited and couldn't be happier to be becoming parents.

Some of the girls from Scott’s dental class decided to throw a joint baby shower for me and Kimmy (another dental student’s wife). I’m looking forward to getting to meet some of the people that Scott is always talking about. It is really so sweet of them to take time out of their BUSY schedules to throw us a shower.

My brother tagged me in this picture on Facebook. I thought it was pretty funny so I thought I would share it.
