Bump Update - 20 weeks

20 weeks

How far along? 20 Weeks… Halfway

Baby Bump? I actually got asked if I was pregnant this week, I guess there is no denying that I have a bump.

Maternity Clothes? I will need them pretty soon, but I can still fit into most of my clothes still. My pants are a little uncomfortable when I’m sitting, but I can still button them just fine while standing.

Best moment this week: Getting our dinners for the next month planned out. It is so much easier to get dinner made when I have it all planned out.

Miss anything? Sleeping through the night without having to get up to go to the bathroom.

Food cravings: This week I have eaten a lot of frosted mini wheats… they just always sound so good. Which is probably a really weird thing to crave, but it could be worse.

Food Aversions: None that I can think of.

Gender: It’s a GIRL!!

Symptoms: I feel her wiggling around a couple of times a day. Which has kind of been fun. I’m waiting for the movements to get stronger.

Sleep: I have been waking up with a sore back and I have been trying to figure out what is the best position to sleep so I feel good in the morning… I’m not even big yet so I’m worried that things are just going to get worse.

This week baby is the size of: A banana, she is about 10 inches from head to toe, or 6.5 inches from head to bum.

Baby’s development this week: Bones are still hardening, which means I should start feeling her movement get a little stronger. Her hair and nails are growing (assuming she has hair, I was bald until I was 3 or so.)

Happy or moody: Pretty happy, but this past week I have been super emotional… I cried at work, and at church over stupid things.

New Baby Items: We ordered a swing online because we could get a free rocker/cradle thing. That should get here this week. I don’t know if our apartment is big enough to hold all these new baby items.

Looking forward to: We have an ultrasound this Friday and we are so excited to see how much she has grown over the last 6 weeks.
